About the Role
This Assistant Project Manager Role provides operational, administrative, and field support to Project Managers to ensure projects are quoted accurately, executed efficiently, and completed to quality standards. The role blends office coordination, customer communication, estimating, field/site work, and internal operational support. It also includes assisting with workforce coordination, safety compliance, inventory oversight, and general operational logistics. Travel is required based on project and client needs.
The person in this role acts as a bridge between customers, project managers, field teams, vendors, engineers/designers, and internal operations, helping keep projects organized and moving forward.
Requirements
Ability to work in both office and field environments
Willingness and ability to travel regularly based on project/client needs
Strong customer service and communication skills to manage expectations and follow up on quotes/projects
Experience with or ability to learn:
Quoting and estimating
Billing/quoting platforms
Vendor sourcing and procurement
Material purchasing and inventory management
Ability to coordinate with:
Engineers
Designers
Subcontractors
Field labor teams (Millwright Supervisors/Millwrights)
Basic knowledge of:
Safety and compliance requirements
Employee onboarding/training processes
Shipping/receiving and shop operations
Vehicle/fleet maintenance management
Strong organizational skills, including:
Prioritizing quote backlog
Managing lead times
Tracking shop supplies/PPE/consumables
Ability to participate in management/operations meetings (EOS L10 or similar)
